The Comet Hunter
Mount Halloran Observatory, Arizona Territory · October 1911
Dr Edwin Carrow spent his last night at the eyepiece of the great telescope, confirming a comet nobody else knew existed. At three in the morning he was found at the foot of the observing ladder. By then somebody had already told Boston about the comet, and nobody on the mountain can agree what time it was.
