The Lantern Fair

Every Hallowe'en the chairman of the parish council rings the bell of St Hilda's to light the bonfire. This year Horace Bellweather rang it at nine o'clock, and half an hour later he was found at the foot of the tower stairs with his neck broken. Everyone says he fell. You don't think so.
