Against the clock or at your leisure

Timed mode spends story time on every move; leisure mode has no deadline.

  • Against the clock: each question costs a couple of minutes of story time and each search more. When the police arrive, you must make your accusation.
  • At your leisure: no deadline. Take as long as you like.

Story time is separate from your score's speed bonus, which uses the real time you spend playing, not counting breaks.

Tip You choose the mode when you open a case. To change it, finish the case and play it again.
